Poemetry: Be Well, Goodbye

Dream well, goodbye.

Go chasing after your clouds,

but you will find

no daylight but night within their shrouds.

I mean well, goodbye.

Hope you find the horizon

beyond your lips,

where mist blankets the land that it lies in.

Bleed well, goodbye.

You’ve got blood under your nails,

and start to cry

for the pain in your breast as you inhale.

Be well, goodbye.

I won’t be around when you fall,

and you will be

happily never after after all.
