Poemetry: You’ll Be the Poems I Wrote Yesterday

You scribbled scenic script upon my heart,

painted brushstroke phrases of printed art.

I composed them into verses today.

Soon, you’ll be the poems I wrote yesterday.

Harmonies of prismatic sounds sang accord

before you sank in monochrome discord.

Now, I can’t listen to you trill that way

so you’ll be the poems I wrote yesterday.

By your muse and grace, my fingers danced

pirouettes and turns, my mind entranced.

Wish you could be my words and rhyme everyday,

but you’ll be the poems I wrote yesterday.
