Poemetry: Remember Me Not By a Stricken Bell

Remember me not by a stricken bell,

and by the stilled chime and casket forget.

Take my memory to the tossing swell

and drown it in their bleak and blurry depths.

Forget me all and forget me whole,

forget my faceless face and maudlin shame.

Bury thoughts in the cemetery of your soul,

where all things must rot in that dead domain.
