Poemetry: The Prince Always Gets the Girl

Quasimodo was strong, sweet, and heroic;

when evil rampaged and roared, he stood stoic.

He cheered the hour and triumphed his fright,

gained the love of the people, winning the fight.

But the Prince always gets the girl.

Cyrano was brave and brilliant and witty,

but aquiline of nose and warthog-pretty.

A poet in heart and swordsman in hand,

he hid in letter, secured the Gascons’ stand.

But the Prince always gets the girl.
